LEG-1-JOURNEY THROUGH ZANSKAR VALLEY,LADAKH

ZANSKAR VALLEY Deep within the rugged terrain of the Indian Himalayas lies Zanskar Valley, a remote and mystical land that beckons adventure seekers and wanderlust enthusiasts. Zanskar is a destination that promises unparalleled natural beauty, cultural richness, and the thrill of exploration. It is through this region that we intend to take you a 11 day 10 night journey on motorcycle & suv tour . This new route for Zanskar is much of an offroad and have fewer asphalt, Motorcyclist will love this route for its scenery and dirt road. And this motorcycle trip to Zanskar is going to be an experience like no other. You can choose the bike of your liking and an experienced mechanic will be at your service in case of a breakdown. Passes like Shinkula and Singela will test the RIDER'S ability to tackle the terrain offered to them, this route has more to offer to an offroad enthusiast then all the other routes of Ladakh.The new route for Padum is descending from Singe-la to Nyerak village, earlier it used to be from Lingshed and then Padum. The road from Nyerak village has few of the best picturesque landscape of Zanskar, you can see most of Trans-himalayan mountain range from Singe-la. Gumbok Rangan Often Referred to as Gods peak by the local Buddhist population, Gonbo Rongjon is a standalone rocky precipice near Kargyak Village. It’s a great camping site and offers a perfect backdrop for night photography. Phutkal Monastry One of the oldest monasteries of the Ladakh – Zanskar region, accessible only via a trek. Monastery is above the Tsarap River, surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful landscape. Riding here its all about your soul connecting with awe-inspiring landscapes, picturesque green oasis, the snow-covered peaks, the streams flowing by, the deep valleys, scintillating monasteries and quaint hamlets. Here the hills welcome you with colours of brown, grey, purple with stripes of white, silver and speckles of green alongside the great indus river. The culture of leh laddakh is quite similar to the tibetan culture .In this region you will find many colourful gompas or monasteries. The architecture of leh laddakh also is influenced by the tibetan style. Hidden in the crest of these lofty mountains are some breathtakingly beautiful lakes famous beautiful lakes of Leh Ladakh are Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri and Tsokar Ride to the Pangong lake is going to last in your memories for ever, the first view of this sapphire blue lake will leave you spellbound. In ladakh is hemis national park .It has the second-highest telescope in the world, it is also a protected area where you get the most snow leopards in the world . Have a pit stop at the lovely place called lamayuru called the moon land of leh ladakh, here it feels as if you have landed on the moon and it looks absolutely fantabulous. Bailey bridge is the world’s highest bridge and is located in ladakh. The bridge is built across suru river and dras and was built in 1982. It is a very important connection in the map of ladakh. Day 1 -( July 2nd)- Arrival at Leh 

Travelling Distance - 0km

Arrive in Leh, transfer to hotel, and rest to acclimatize. Evening orientation and bike allocation. Test ride and report any issues. Overnight in Leh.

Day 2 -( July 3rd) -Leh-Kargil Memorial-Lamayuru stay

Travelling Distance - 353 km
Altitude(Lamayauru)- 3,370 meters (11,060 feet) 
Altitude(kargil)- 2,680 meters (8,780 feet)

Grade/Duration - Easy -Good roads/Approx. 8-10 Hours
Highlights - Visit Magnetic Hill, Zanskar-Indus confluence, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Kargil Memorial, and Moonland.
Accommodation- Large tents with attached WC and proper camp beds

Start with breakfast, check luggage, and ride NH1. Visit Magnetic Hill, Zanskar-Indus confluence, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Kargil Memorial, and Moonland. Return to Lamayuru for overnight stay.

Day 3 -( July 4th) -

Lamayuru - Shige La -Sirsir la-Padum

Travelling Distance - 158 km
Altitude(Sirsir La pass)- 4,800 meters (15,748 feet)
Altitude(Padum)- 3,657 meters (11,998 feet)

Grade/Duration - Difficult/Approx. 5-6 Hours

Highlights - Climb Singe La (16,590 ft), and descend. Pass Murgum La (15,490 ft), ride along the Zanskar river

Start from Lamayuru, ride through Wanla to Sirsir La (15,700 ft), have lunch at Photoksar, climb Singe La (16,590 ft), and descend. Pass Murgum La (15,490 ft), ride along the Zanskar river, cross Zangla checkpoint, and reach Padum.

Day 4 -( July 5th) -Padum Local-Purne

Travelling Distance - 36 km
Altitude(Purne Village)- 3,000 feet (approximately 3,962 meters)

Grade/Duration - Difficult/Approx. 2 Hours

Highlights - Explore Padum, visiting Sani Lake and the hidden monastery. 
Accommodation: Large tents with attached WC and proper camp beds.

Explore Padum, visiting Sani Lake and the hidden monastery. Ride to Reru on paved roads, then switch to dirt trails with steep inclines before reaching Purne. Overnight at a homestay by the Tsarap River.

Day 5 -( July 6th) -

Purne -Gomborangjon Base-shingu La-Jispa/Manali

Travelling Distance - 110 km
Altitude(Shinko La pass)- 5,091 meters (16,703 feet)
Altitude(Gombo Ranjan Base)- 4,500 meters (14,800 feet). 

Grade/Duration - Difficult/Approx. 5-6 Hours
Highlights - Navigate river crossings, mud, and stones. Ride to Khargiak, snap a photo at Gombo Rongjon, ascend to Shinku La Pass (16,580 ft)

Day 6 -( July 7th) -

Jispa/Manali - chandra Tal/Batal

Ride from Jispa to Chandratal, passing through Battal and alongside the Zanskar River. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes before arriving at the serene Chandratal Lake for an overnight stay at a campsite.

Day 7 -( July 8th) -Chandra Tal/Batal-Kaza

Rest day, shopping and local sightseeing in Leh.

Day 8 -( July 9th) -Kaza- Nako

Depart Kaza for Nako, stopping at Langza, Komik, Hikkim, and Kibber. Visit Ki Monastery and take a detour to Dhankar Monastery (12,000 ft) for views of the Spiti and Pin rivers' confluence. Explore Tabo Monastery, the "Ajanta of the Himalayas," before arriving in Nako for the night.

Day 9 -( July 10th) -Nako-Sangla/Chitkul

After breakfast, leave Nako and enjoy the scenic drive to Sangla. Travel through lush landscapes, visiting the confluence of the Spiti and Satluj Rivers at Khab and admiring Leo Purygal Peak. Continue past Chango and Sumdo before arriving in Sangla/Chitkul for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10 -( July 11th) -Sangla/Chitkul-Narkanda

Highlights – Scenic drive through Kinnaur Valley.

After breakfast, depart Sangla/Chitkul and enjoy the scenic drive through Kinnaur Valley. Arrive in Narkanda in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay, taking in the breathtaking vistas along the way.

Day 11 -( July 12th) -

Narkanda-Shimla visit-Chandigarh

Altitude(Narkanda)- 2,708 meters (8,888 feet)
Altitude(Shimla)- 2,206 metres (7,238 ft)
Altitude(Chandigarh)- 321 meters (1053 feet)

We travel from Narkanda to Chandigarh, passing through Shimla. Enjoy a visit to Jakhoo Mandir, explore the Shimla Mall Road for shopping, and then head back to Chandigarh.

1. Accommodation in hotels / camps / guest houses on double/triple sharing from start to end of your ride itinerary.

 

2. Meals - breakfast and dinner starting from start to end of your ride itinerary.

 

3.Services of the experienced trip leader and motorbike mechanic

 

4.Services of the backup vehicle for a group of more than 5 motorcyclist / 2 suv cars /5 mtb riders

 

5.First aid kit and oxygen cylinder at dispersal with the ride leader

7.A backup vehicle (suv/traveler/bolero camper) to carry your luggage and spare parts from day-1

  4. Airport, railway station or bus stop pick up or drop.

  5. Personal expenses like telephone, laundry, tips and table drinks, etc.

  6. The cost of any spare part will be used due to the accidental damage incurred when the motorcycle /suv/mtb is in the rider’s possession.

  7. The cost incurred to transfer or tow the motorcycle /suv/ mtb in case it is dropped on the way.

  8. Motorcycle /suv/ mtb servicing or maintenance cost.

  9. Any extra lunch and other meals not mentioned in package inclusions

  10. Security deposit per motorcycle of rs. 10,000/-. As per the deposit policy (this is totally refundable at the end of the trip if there are no damage or spare parts used.)

  11. Security deposit per suv of rs. 25,000/-. As per the deposit policy (this is totally refundable at the end of the trip if there are no damage or spare parts used.)

  12. Security deposit for mtb of rs. 5,000/-. As per the deposit policy (this is totally refundable at the end of the trip if there are no damage or spare parts used.)

  13. Parking and monument entry fees during sightseeing.

  14. Any cost incurred due to extension, change of itinerary due to natural calamities, road, blocks, vehicle breakdown, union issues and factors beyond our control

  15. Additional accommodation/food cost incurred due to any delay

  16. The cost for the single sharing accommodation will inccur additional costs which needs to be confirmed prior the ride.

  17. Finally, anything that is not mentioned in the inclusion section
